Mat Pilates

Pilates is a body conditioning routine that helps build flexibility, muscle strength, and endurance in the legs, abdominals, arms, hips and back.  It puts emphasis on spinal and pelvic alignment, breathing, developing a strong core and improving coordination and balance.  Pilates’ system allow for different exercises to be modified in range of difficulty from beginning to advanced.  Intensity can be increased over time as the body conditions and adapts to the exercises.

Pilates is good for everyone who would like to strengthen their core; from those beginning their fitness journey to advanced athletes, and even runners. Pilates can benefit anyone looking to improve their performance in a specific activity or just in everyday movements

The Fall Session of Mat Pilates is being taught by Lennie Fenton. The session begins on August 23, 2017 and runs through October 11, 2017. It is a seven week session and the cost is $126. There isn’t class on September 26, 2017. Classes are limited to six participants due to specialized equipment and better individualized instruction. Payment needs to be made within 48 hours of reserving your spot. Many classes fill quickly, so don’t delay!

Reformer Pilates

This one-on-one session is designed with your specific needs in mind. The Pilates Reformer is a piece of equipment that provides resistance with a series of springs and straps. It will improve strength, coordination, flexibility, balance and stability. All exercises are scaled to the individual participant. Reformer Pilates is being taught by Lennie Fenton. $70 per one hour session

Lennie Fenton

Lennie Fenton, owner of Stretch, Mind & Body, has been involved in fitness and athletics her whole life. Having completed two triathlons and other fitness challenges she became more determined to learn about the human body and how it works. She began her Pilates journey in 2007 when she tried her first reformer class with Tiziana Buzzi. Within just a few months she realized how effective this method truly could be and she was completely hooked! In 2012, Lennie went back to school to study Exercise Science and Nutrition. She would then go on to receive her Power Pilates certification through Advanced Mat and founded Stretch, Mind & Body, LLC. Lennie is excited to share a fun but challenging approach to teaching Pilates while her clients experience improved flexibility, definition, body awareness, and strength.
